ZapThru Academy ("we," "us," "our") operates academy.zapthru.com and delivers educational programmes to students and professionals worldwide. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our website, apply for or enrol in our programmes, or otherwise interact with us.
By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you disagree with any part of it, please do not use our services.
When you apply, enrol, or contact us, we may collect: your full name and contact details (email address, phone number, location); your educational and professional background; your programme selection and goals; payment and billing information (processed securely through third-party payment processors — we do not store full card details); and any communications you send us.
Our Human Excellence Programme involves sessions with trained practitioners. Notes from these sessions are held confidentially by the practitioner. We maintain session records solely to track your development and to ensure continuity of care. This information is never shared with employers, third parties, or other students.
When you visit our website, we collect standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you visit, and the time of your visit. We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience and to understand how our site is used.
We may receive information about you from partner companies when you participate in an industrial project, or from referral partners who directed you to us. We handle such information under the same standards as information you provide directly.
We use your personal information to: process your application and manage your enrolment; deliver our educational programmes, including assigning you a Tech Lead and Human Excellence practitioner; communicate with you about your progress, upcoming sessions, and administrative matters; provide career support including CV review, interview preparation, and job matching; process payments and manage billing; comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and improve our programmes and website based on aggregate, anonymised usage data.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
If you participate in an industrial project, we share relevant professional information (name, programme, project scope) with the partner company for the purpose of managing the project. We do not share Human Excellence session notes or personal psychological information with any employer or partner company.
We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our business — including payment processors, video conferencing providers, and cloud hosting services. These providers access your information only as needed to perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
We may disclose personal information where required by law, court order, or government authority, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person.
If ZapThru Academy is acquired, merged, or undergoes a significant business transfer, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and provide you with a choice regarding your information.
We retain your personal information for as long as your programme is active and for a period of seven years afterward, to comply with applicable legal obligations and to assist you with future reference requests or alumni services. Human Excellence session notes are retained for a maximum of three years following programme completion, then securely deleted. You may request earlier deletion — see Section 6.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include SSL encryption on our website, access controls on our internal systems, and confidentiality agreements with staff and practitioners. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: You may ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal retention obligations.
Portability: In some jurisdictions, you have the right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Objection and restriction: You may object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@zapthru.com. We will respond within 30 days. In some cases we may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
Our website uses cookies to maintain session state, remember your preferences, and analyse traffic patterns. We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) that set cookies on your device. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of our website.
Our programmes are designed for adults (18 years and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with their information, please contact us at privacy@zapthru.com.
We operate from the United States and India. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may not provide the same level of protection. We take steps to ensure adequate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, we will notify enrolled students by email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
